The Novus 6000™ is a tool that assists clinicians in choosing activities of various grade and skill levels to involve their patients in the therapy process. Clinicians often struggle to find meaningful, gradable and functional activities for their hand and upper extremity patients. It is well known that when patients are engaged in therapeutic activities that they enjoy and find meaningful their participation and motivation will be greater thus improving outcomes.

The Novus 6000™ therapy system contains the following treatment modules:

Grip and Pinch Strengthening

• Provide full tendon excursion in an isolated fashion with or without resistance
• Standard grip and pinch strength activities with foam and multi-colored T-putty

Pegboard and Lacing

• Various sizes and shapes of pegs and beads to promote graded activity
• Many different patterns of lacing to keep patients involved and challenged. Develop fine motor coordination skills

Nut and Bolt Board

• Graded activities promoting various pinch and hand manipulation methods.
• Promote forearm, wrist and hand ROM.
• Promote hand strengthening and endurance

Industrial Assembly

• Promote various pinch, grasp and fine motor manipulation
• Purposeful, gradable and challenging functional activity
• Increase upper extremity endurance

Activities of Daily Living

• Promote practice, evaluation and therapeutic intervention using common daily activities including latches, locks, keys and knobs.
• Includes ADL dressing vest with buttons, zippers and latches.
• Offers bilateral and unilateral activities.

Velcro® Board

• Promote forearm, wrist and hand strength and endurance
• Gradable and progressive to all levels of function.
